Overview:

The Olweus Bullying Prevention Program (OBPP) has been successfully researched and implemented for more than thirty-five years all over the world. OBPP is used at the school, classroom, and individual levels and includes methods to reach out to parents and the community for involvement and support. These efforts are designed to reduce existing bullying problems among students; prevent the development of new bullying problems; achieve better peer relations at school; and make the school a safer and more positive place for students to learn and develop. There is also an optional cyber-bullying curriculum.

Program Components:

		Creation of a Bullying Prevention Coordinating Committee.
		A Certified Olweus Bullying Prevention Trainer conducts a two day training for the Coordinating Committee to train all staff and create an implementation plan.
		The Coordinating Committee conducts a half to full day all staff in-service.
		Weekly classroom meetings are held to educated students about healthy peer relationships.
		Individual interventions are conducted with students who are bullying and are being bullied.

Implementation:

This program is designed for school wide implementation and sustainability. Our certified Olweus Bullying Prevention Trainer provides training and 18 school months of monthly follow-up and consultation to insure program success.
