Generally: All information gathered on this website ( (the "SITE") will be kept private and confidential. While we treat the information provided to us through this Site, the guestbook and e-mail transmissions as private, and will maintain that the communication is privileged as a communication between an attorney and someone seeking legal advice, its confidentiality may be challenged. Any communication received by Oakland Mediation Center ("OMC") through the use of e-mail or any other medium containing information about yourself, including your e-mail address will be held in strict confidence. We do not and will not share this information with anyone else without your express permission. We use this information to respond to questions that visitors choose to ask us. We have appropriate security measures in place at our physical facilities to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information that you send us through our Site.

Guestbook: The guestbook form requires visitors to give us contact information (like their name and email address). This information is provided voluntarily so that OMC may send the user information about her services and/or answer questions that may have been asked. The visitor's contact information is also used to contact the visitor when necessary. visitors may opt-out and be removed from any list containing that user's e-mail address and therefore not receive any communication from OMC. Opting-out (removal/unsubscribing from the e-mail list) is as simple as sending an e-mail from the user's e-mail address of record to and typing "unsubscribe" in the subject line.

IP/E-mail Address: For each visitor to our Site, our web server recognizes, where possible, the visitor's IP address and domain name (e.g., but not the e-mail address or any other more specific information about that visitor. The server may also gathers aggregate information about what pages in our Site visitors access and for how long they visit certain pages. We use this aggregate information to improve the quality of our Site, help diagnose problems and to administer our Site.

Third Parties: We do not partner with or have special relationships with any ad server companies and will not sell any contact information gathered from visitors. Referrals to third parties will only be made upon the express request of the visitor.
