Restorative Practitioner Training: Principles, Skills, and Processes

Training Description

This 3-day highly interactive workshop equips school personnel with the necessary skills to build community through the circle process and to facilitate the circle process to repair harm. By the end of this training participants will be able to:

  • Understand the values and principles of Restorative Practices.
  • Demonstrate restorative techniques and skills to use in day to day interactions with students and staff.
  • Build classroom connections and community through the circle process.
  • Effectively address classroom behaviors by using the circle process to engage students in problem solving.
  • Repair harm by facilitating the circle process through initial intake, facilitating the process to follow-up.

Registration Information

Participants will receive a participant guide; “The Little Book of Restorative Discipline for Schools” by Lorraine Stutzman Amstutz and Judy H. Mullet; “Circle Forward: Building a Restorative School Community” by Carolyn Boyes-Watson and Kay Pranis; certificate of completion; as well as breakfast and lunch.

Cost

$325 per person for training fee and “Circle Forward” book as an E-Book.

$355 per person for training fee and “Circle Forward” book in print.

Social Worker CEUs and SCECHs are available for an additional fee.
