RESTORATIVE PRACTITIONER

Restorative Practices in schools is a comprehensive prevention and intervention initiative that utilizes restorative practices processes and principles to improve school climate through building, enhancing, and repairing positive relationships which in turn reduces discipline issues. Oakland Mediation Center provides districts and individual schools with the comprehensive training and consultation they need to implement Restorative Practices. Building Classroom Connection Through Restorative Practices

Individuals or agencies interested in initiating restorative practice services for a specific situation of conflict or harm can do so by contacting Oakland Mediation Center’s Mediation Department at 248-338-4280, ext. 210 or by email at mmccoy@mediation-omc.org .  All situations are screened for appropriateness prior to services being scheduled.
